MISSION BBQ is a chinese bbq in University Park, Florida. It is listed at 5231 University Pkwy #109, University Park, FL 34201, which places it among the local businesses of University Park that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in University Park; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Florida are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 AM–9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach MISSION BBQ at (941) 841-9279; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mission-bbq.com.

Wow! We had an unforgettable experience at Mission BBQ. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service. Our Bible study group gathered there for a time of fellowship and to celebrate a birthday, and the Mission BBQ team truly helped make it a special occasion. They went above and beyond to make the birthday celebration memorable, and everyone in our group felt well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was spotless, clean, and well organized, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Every person in our group left happy, satisfied, and talking about what a wonderful experience it was. A heartfelt thank you to Mission BBQ and your amazing staff for making our gathering so special. We look forward to coming back!

We told the young man working the counter that it was our first time there. Very friendly/welcoming. We got a sampler platter and a couple of sides. Once seated, another staff member (Jamie) came by to check on us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Finding out it was our 1st visit, she surprised us by bringing a sample of all their sides! Jamie's smile/enthusiasm told you she loved her job there. She shared the history of Mission BBQ around the country and all they do to honor 1st Responders and our Military. The restaurant was clean - the music was fun (and at a nice volume). What an unexpected/delightful evening! The brisket/coleslaw/baked beans and fresh french fries were among our favorites. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!! .

Wow. I had no idea how delicious and flavorful everything was!!.This is the closest I've found to Texas BarBQue since my arrival 12 yrs ago. What an amazing business model and the way they give back to first responders, vets and all branches of service. I stumbled upon this place cause I was in the neighborhood running an errand.. so grateful I did too. Their chopped brisket was by far the best I've ever had, anywhere, ever..😂 Someone heard this was my first time and she brought me samples of all their sides and Oh Mm Gee. Their banana puddin' was almost as good as Ms Gossett's from Brock TX . I will be back. If y'all are even close to this place, or actually they have 40 restaurants in the U. S., see if there is one close to you.

I’ve had Mission BBQ at church events and it was good but not great…. So today I decided to try in restaurant for the first time…. I WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZED!!!! It almost tasted like completely different food…. Maybe they catered stuff sits around too long and totally dries out but in restaurant was soooo fresh! I ordered the brisket sandwich, the brisket was seasoned well and melt in your mouth perfect!!!! I also ordered Maggie’s Mac n cheese and coleslaw… both were very good!! Not only was the food amazing but the staff and ambiance were as well!!! I’m so glad that I gave them a try, I highly recommend Mission BBQ!!
